Sewing my fingers to the bone
Jun. 26th, 2004 07:10 pmBeginner as I am, I suppose it's presumptious to expect a perfect zipper. Still, it's not the Ugly Zipper From Hell that I thought it would turn out to be, so it's all good. Of course, if I were using a fabric that wasn't a synthetic, shiny, stretches-in-every-direction weave, like oh, say, cotton, this wouldn't be this difficult -- but it wouldn't be shiny, then, would it? I swear, my next project is plain cotton eyelet; watch me break a needle on the embroidery, or something equally idiotic. On the bright side, this here skirt project has given me the opportunity to learn all about my machine's shiny zipper presser foot, which makes the job much more pleasant.
