Deck the halls
My Christmas tree is up! And my hands, because of the sap, make me look like I've been working in a coal mine. So the tree looks great, but the rest of my living room is a disaster area. *sigh* Ooh, I thing I'll make myself some rhum and eggnog.
Our little trip out into the bush went as it always does, i.e. we spent over half an hour digging the van out of the snow. I mean, come on, it's not a tree-hunting expedition without getting stuck. It was gorgeous out in the woods, with snow covering all the trees, just like you see on all those holiday cards, and when we first arrived, the sun was blinding. It got cloudy pretty quickly, though, and by the time we actually got around to the tree-hunting part it was overcast, which as usual screwed up my sense of direction and had me leading my family in zig-zags. It's embarrassing, I'm useless without the sun. :P
Oh bloh, it's already 10:30 and I have to shower, make food for tomorrow and try to get this place into some semblance of order.
