And another weekend trickled by
Oct. 20th, 2002 05:05 pmFriday: Saw "The Ring", which is very creepy. It may not have made perfect sense (what was up with the clothing?) but the ending is wonderfully freaky; I'll never look at a tv, especially one showing a little girl in white, the same way again. After that, G and I went to a party where I seemed to be the only person who hadn't sold their soul to DFAIT, but it was fun, especially hearing about G being drunk and mad about being called Bruce Lee.
Saturday: Taught my ballet classes, and my oh my does time fly when you've got 16 little would-be dancers to control. I'm finding my groove again, though, and am now looking at the clock to see how fast I have to go, not to try and stretch out the exercises. After that I came back home and started scanning my Vietnam slides, after getting really frustrated because of the scanner. Though it seems okay now, but for some reason it just won't give me the proper colours for some pictures! Bloh.
Later on, G came over for supper, and we ended up being late for the movie we wanted to see, so we went to Oh So Good and stuffed ourselves with cake before going dancing. We didn't stay at the bar very long, because the music was laaaaaame. I mean, come on, non-stop hip hop? How dull is that? Too slow to sustain any kind of energy, especially energy I didn't have because I hadn't gotten enough sleep the night before.
Sunday: Woke up early (relatively) but didn't actually do anything constructive with my morning. Went for brunch at Chez Cora, overdosed on hollandaise sauce and smoked salmon and was sad there weren't free refills on the orange juice. After that, I went to see "Tuck Everlasting" with A-L and saw the trailer for "Treasure Planet", the next animated Disney outing. I swear, for the first minute I thought I was watching a Final Fantasy game, what with all the floating ships and the guy in baggy cargo pants.
So now I'm home, having signed up to sew a kimono for a sewing-skills-impaired and sewing-machine-deprived boyfriend in time for next Friday's Halloween party.
