Here are some random things I wrote over the last few days but didn't get to post until now because of my former lack of an internet connection.

What's great about having my own apartment? I can sort out papers by making a dozen different piles in the middle of the living room, then go to bed and
leave it all lying there on the floor!I can keep the hours I want (until I start working, that is) and it won't disturb anyone, except perhaps the guy upstairs, whose footsteps I occasionally hear.

I suspect that I may turn out to enjoy cooking, to a certain extent. Buying all my own food means that there will always be things around I like to eat and left to my own devices, I think I'll stick to a healthy diet. After all, I usually only eat chocolate and sweet things because they're there; otherwise, I'm quite satisfied eating something else. At the moment I have chocolate cookies and brownies in the cupboard, for
kimchii and
punkieg, respectively.

Want to know how you can get me to stop buying clothes? Well, you can't. Sure, you can distract me with a new apartment to furnish and decorate, but that only lasts so long.

Wounded while cleaning my floor! The tragedy. I had to move my old fridge out this morning, which was an undertaking unto itself because it was wedged so tightly between the cupboards, and then clean the floor where it had been. It was many shades of brown and yellow, as I had expected, but it also yielded a large serving spoon, mummified noodles, dust bunnies and thumbtacks. Why on earth would there be thumbtacks under a fridge?! I didn't even notice them until I pricked my finger on one. Feeling quite the Sleeping Beauty (βShe will prick her finger on a thumbtack found under a fridge, and DIE! Of tetanus.β) I watched with interest the blood trying to drip off my finger β yes, it was bleeding that much β until I got to the bathroom and had to wrap it in Kleenex to keep it from bleeding all over the place as I tried to unwrap a bandage.
Anyway, my new fridge is here, sort of. The delivery men just took off my screen door and moved the old one out and I think I hear them bringing in the new one. Ooh, it has
wheels!

I just got a microwave stand and set it up, only to discover that I can't put it where I want to because there's no power outlet on that wall and I don't have a three-pronged extension cord. Bloh. Although, it's not so bad by the door, after all; it frees up lots of space.
