I do believe in fairies!

Until tonight I never had any particular fondness for Peter Pan, but the new movie is so magical that I think I'll read the book (which my father never managed to interest me in when I was a kid). The actors were all wonderful, Wendy and Peter especially, and their choices poignant throughout, reminding me in feeling of His Dark Materials. The mermaids were creepy and much closer to the old folktales of mermaids than what you usually see.

Why do we have to grow up?
