Exciting stuff!
Feb. 19th, 2004 07:48 pmBy the weird feeling in my legs, I'd say I'm crossing over to a whole nother level of fitness. XP
My left foot is not quite as flexible as my right one; when I go up on pointe, in an arabesque, for example, I can easily balance on my right foot, as my foot arches enough for me to put my weight where it's supposed to be (i.e. the sole of the shoe) and keep my knee straight and under my centre of gravity. My left foot, however, doesn't arch as much and so if I'm trying to balance, it's twice as hard because the proper axis of foot-knee-body has less play and therefore is harder to find. Yesterday, while I was doing quick relevés into arabesque, my left foot made a very strange noise and suddenly seemed a lot more flexible. I wasn't worried because it didn't hurt at all and seems to have gone back to normal shortly after. I kind of wish it hadn't, it sure would have helped in my pirouettes.
Aside from that, I'm too tired to really write anything of any interest, so I think I'll leave it at that.
