More exciting happenings in Yaourt Land
Oct. 17th, 2004 05:07 pmA cute sweater I bought at Zellers had a label that announced "Extensible!" in big colourful letters. I mean, wow, a stretchy sweater, why didn't anyone else think of this before?! XD
Last night, G and I made sweet & sour shrimp. Quite succesful, though I think that next time I'll put a bit more of each ingredient in the sauce and a little less water; once the mountain of shrimp was added, it wasn't quite as flavourful anymore. While I was mixing it though, it smelled so good... When we were done with that, I tried my hand at hairstyling for the first time and reduced G's thick shaggy mop to a nice short cut. Sort of crooked at the back, but not so as you'd really notice. All in all, I'm proud of myself.
My current DIY clean sweep is moving along, sometimes a hare, sometimes a tortoise. It's already much better, now that my papers have all been sorted. Yes, really, it's all done, save for my teaching material (2 binders full, not that bad) and my photos, if one can count those as paper. I've worked out a system to watch all the anime and movies that people have lent me and to read the books I'm not sure about keeping, including some manga (dai shokku!), so that I can sell them and free up some space.
A-L and I made guacamole this afternoon and she straightened my hair, which was a new experience for me. For once, my hair is smooth!
I'm trying to motivate myself to go through my closet this evening, as well as try to decide on a few bags to give away. While I have nowhere near as many as Anna, for instance, there are several I haven't used in a long time. Delete, delete, MWAHAHAHA!
