Nov. 1st, 2004 11:38 pmNaNoWriMo has started again and this time, I vow to at least double last year's pathetic performance of 5217 words. As it is, I wrote over 2000 words tonight, which isn't bad at all! I think that what killed it last time was that I tried to plan too much -- this time I'm going with the flow. In fact, I only thought of the beginning this afternoon and though I have an idea for the emotional plot, I have yet to think of a plot plot.
Apparently, when G slipped into bed last night I made a loud noise, a mixture of surprise and frustration and outrage. I don't remember.
This was another low-key year for Halloween, with a modest number of little ghouls coming by my parents' house to partake of mini chocolate bars. G was no help at all, he sat in the living room talking with my father and watching tv while I stood at the door, hopefully asking the kids if they had UNICEF boxes. Not very many of them did.
Now that the sewing blitz is over, it seemed strange to have an evening with "nothing to do". So when I got home from the gym, I fixed myself supper and watched some anime, then puttered about on the internet before diving headlong into the story that I hope I will see through to completion over the course of the next month.
