November blues
Nov. 15th, 2005 11:09 pmWinter arrived without warning this morning, leaving thick snow weighing everything down. It'll all be gone by tomorrow, as the rain's been falling steadily all evening.
The goddess of yellow and green apparently has something against me. That's twice in the past week that I've lost Ebay auctions on green and yellow fabric because I stupidly forgot to check before they ended to see if I'd been outbid. It must be the Japanese that's eating my brain.
My memory, on which I've always been able to rely without question, is spending so much energy outdoing itself in class that I have the silliest lapses in the rest of my life. Like last weekend I completely forgot about our special dance class and when my teacher called me, I had both hands in pie dough and it was too late to clean up and go.
Because of this and other embarrassing things, I've shamefully quit NaNoWriMo; I was forced to admit to myself that there was no way I could finish it. Besides, G's coming home on Saturday, and all I want to do is spend a solid week locked up with him. We might emerge for food once in a while.
