Of Soup and Spinach

One book I liked when I was little was about a dog, named Crispin's Crispian, who had a boy. One day the dog bought a nice big bone to make soup, and the boy bought some bright green vegetables to add to the soup, which they shared. And if that isn't a proof of friendship, I don't know what is.
