You think you know a girl...
Oct. 17th, 2007 07:41 pmHelp, I've been tagged! (from my pretend cousin)
7 random facts about me:
1. Although I am decidedly right-handed, I am left-footed, i.e. I'm more comfortable with my left foot leading, such as when doing turns in ballet. For this reason, my ballet teacher thought for years that I was left-handed. According to her, it's rather unusual to have the opposite hand and foot be dominant.
2. When I was little, I got this weird idea that if you do something in front of a mirror, not only can you see your reflection, but somewhere, someone will also see you in their dreams. I have no idea where this thought came from, but every now and then, when I'm flossing my teeth or somesuch, I think, "Wow, someone must be having a really boring/gross dream right about now!"
3. I like to always be reading several books at once, preferably very different from each other. That way, I can pick according to my mood. At the moment, I have six on the go. What'll it be tonight? Shoujo manga? Modern ghost story? 19th century English classic? Fluffy fantasy?
4. Of all the vegetables I hated as a child, asparagus is the only one I still dislike.
5. People who have disbelieved my claim of being perfectly bilingual have asked me which language I dream in. It's difficult to answer, because I'm a very visual person, so I rarely remember conversations from my dreams. I have to assume that it depends on who's in my dreams, and whether I'd speak English or French to them in real life.
6. When I go up or down stairs, I pay attention to whether there are an odd or even number of steps, so that I can plan which foot will reach the top or bottom first, and alternate so that my left and right foot get there first in equal amounts. I started doing this ages ago, probably as soon as kindergarten. If I've been to your place more than a few times, chances are I could tell you if you have an odd or even number of stairs, or at least my muscle memory would kick in if I were to use your staircase again.
7. I love going to www.stuffonmycat.com, just to see what people have named their cats, and wonder at the story behind the name. Like naming your cats Reggie and Ripple? Love it!
