White Noise 2 is the kind of movie I'd never bother watching* unless I were already sitting in front of the screen and someone handed me some all-dressed Ruffles and pressed play, but I must admit that the idea of Starbuck and Captain Reynolds together is pretty hot. Colour me intrigued... @.@

In further Prince of Tennis news, this series is crack, I tell you, PURE CRACK! I'm almost ready to forgive Ryouma his initial bratty smarminess, if only because I can't entirely dislike someone who loves both his cat and Fanta Ponta.

Kaidoh, will you never cease to amuse me? I mean, a chibi episode in itself is guaranteed to be pure gold (in chibi form, Tezuka still never cracks a smile! He smirks, though), but even though I'd managed to spoil myself for Taka's "Sentimental!", by watching music videos on Youtube, the best part of the episode was without a doubt Kaidoh shouting, "Let's run toward the sunset together!" I laughed for five solid minutes, and my cheeks were wet with tears by the time I finally pulled myself together. All right, it was really the whole exchange that had me laughing like that ("He's running away!" "He loves to run!" WTF, Eiji?! XD) but Kaidoh's impassioned suggestion was the perfect cherry topping a sundae of chibi Seigaku goodness.

All you would-be villains and wannabe thugs, you can go home and cry in a corner, because Inui's upside-down "Shiritai?" (in the Inui/Kaidoh training episode), especially coupled with his little smirk, is the most hilariously menacing thing I've ever heard.

It keeps coming back to Taka, Inui and Kaidoh, doesn't it? I can't help it, they're the funniest to quote! But really, of the Regulars, the only ones I don't really like (not dislike, but haven't warmed to much) are Ryouma and Tezuka. Eiji and Oishi are perfectly lovable (go on, you can keep holding hands, you know you want to!), Fuji is inscrutably creepy yet endearing (Seigaku's curling champion?! *rofl*), and Momo is such a typical teenaged boy that I can't help but have a soft spot for him, plus his friendship with Eiji is as cute as his rivalry with Kaidoh is funny.

Then, there's Hyoutei. They seem determined to win the trophy for "Gayest-Looking Tennis Club Ever", what with Atobe (top of the 200-person tennis club, indeed!), bitchy Gakuto the pageboy, their coach** (he wears a pink ascot, for gods' sake!), and them all having pink-soled shoes! The trophy, however, will probably be hotly contested: there's Mizuki, of course, with his Purple Sweater of Doom, who's scored major points for St. Rudolph's, and from what screencaps I've seen, there are plenty more questionable uniforms and hairstyles to come!

* And if you're wondering how I even know it exists, it's because did you know that if you watch the Battlestar Galactica : Razor (review this Saturday!) DVD on your computer, you can't skip the previews at the beginning of the disk? Or at least, my computer wouldn't let me. I must admit to being exceedingly puzzled as to why, besides White Noise 2 and another horror/slasher type film, they included a trailer for a film in the American Pie franchise. Does not compute.

** I would be remiss to point out that, in his favour, he's so far been the only coach to really coach his players, no? Ryuuzaki-sensei just seems to hang around making schedules and choosing the line-ups; she actually coached Echizen Senior, in flashbacks, so she can obviously do it, but I guess she's tired of that, now. Either that, or Tezuka, Fuji & Co. indimidate her so much that she daren't offer any suggestions. ^_^
