Dec. 15th, 2008 11:43 pmHappiness Today:
My three Monday girls (the ones of whom I posted pictures a little while back) were their usual sweet, giggly, adorable selves. During playtime, one of them remarked, "It's good there are no boys here today!"
"Yeah!" the other two chorused, eyes wide and serious.
*cue me falling over laughing*
Another small thing was that Tabitha stayed put while I watched some more of Rome, instead of tearing around and scratching the walls and generally being annoying, as she is wont to do when she feels I'm not paying her enough attention.
I discovered instant curry packs -- five minutes in hot water and you pour it over the rice you just nuked in the microwave? I may never need to cook again! :D
Fine, that's not true. I also bought a baking pan! Because I am now armed and dangerous. Armed with my mother's trifle recipe, that is. Now all I need is baking powder and eggs, and I'm good to go. Perhaps I'll do a test run Thursday...
In not-so-happy news, my serger blew a gasket. (I've always wanted to say that.) Or rather, it popped a screw which can't be screwed back on because the thread is worn, and I'm mightily afraid that they don't sell this brand in Japan, so who knows how I'll get the part I need. >_<;
