Don't you hate it when you're in the middle of a sewing project that's going really *knock on wood* well and then you need to change the needle, except you can't find any spare ones even though you bought a new package the other day for this very eventuality?

Grrr!

Where the hell are my new needles?!?

ETA: 30 minutes later, and I just remembered that I'd put them in the change pocket of my wallet when I bought them, because I was afraid of losing them somewhere in the bottom of my purse. >_< Good sense, I has it! :D
My holiday dress is looking quite smashing, but now I don't want to hem it! At the moment, it looks like a rather authentic 1920s gown -- that's the general look I was aiming for, but this is much too period! It needs to lose at least 6 inches of hem. And I'd also forgotten how much that burned-out velvet can stretch, so it's now hanging on Brunhilde so I can determine how much to shorten the top.

Next on the agenda this evening: figure out how to make custard from scratch, because all the supermarket had was "custard purin", which will not do.
