Jan. 8th, 2009 08:02 pmSpicy basil stir-fry is spicy! Doesn't taste so much of basil as it does of spicy, though.
Yeah, I cooked. This shouldn't feel like such a huge accomplishment, but come on, people! I spent ten minutes chopping vegetables! Though I must admit, my ulterior motive was to try to use up all the vegetables in my fridge. Mission mostly accomplished, but the turnips will keep for a while yet, so it's all good.
Mmm, I love udon. It's like eating big, satisfyingly tasty worms. ^_^
First day back at work wasn't so bad, except that three students from the younger class have "graduated" to my group. That means we'll no longer have "Happy Days", which is what my co-teacher and I called the Monday, when only the five quietest kids came, and only three of them stayed in the afternoon.
