I haz calf muscles
My toaster oven is love. <3
Most of the time, I'm delighted that Tabitha is super affectionate. But when I'm waxing my legs, it's more like, "Get AWAY! You DO NOT WANT this on you!" *waves arms in a threatening manner at a confused-looking cat*
So, I took K to Nippori. "What are you planning to buy?" she asked me.
Planning? Hah!
"Nothing," I told her. "I really shouldn't buy anything, but I'm sure I'll find something, or several somethings, that speak to me." And I was right, because I came home with 11 metres of fabric. In my defense, I only spent Y1200. Tomato's Y100/m section is dangerously excellent that way. One metre is a sexy pin-up girl print. At first I thought I'd make something for my brother, but I think I'll keep it for myself, because those girls are pretty cute. Maybe a tote bag? :D Another metre is a traditional-looking Japanese motif of kabuki characters on a wave and ocean background, and they're... surfing. It's really kind of hilariously awesome.
After having spent nearly Y3000 on fabric (unlike me, she didn't limit herself to the Y100/m section and the remnant bin), K turned to me with a worried look on her face. "This could get addictive really fast. What have you led me into?!"
*cue evil laughter*
Ah, nothing is so satisfying as converting someone. >:D
I didn't finish the skirt, but I have this crazy idea that between now and 1:45 p.m. tomorrow, I'll have sewn myself a cute dress to show off my legs. Because when you go see Sex and the City - the Movie, then afterwards go out for cocktails with your girlfriends, you have to dress up, no?
In other news, I'm still thinking about the yukata. *fails*
