So! Here's a revised list. Please comment (or text me, or something) to confirm and/or specify what you'll bring!

Me: stuffing, pie
[livejournal.com profile] nekonezumi: pie, cranberry sauce AND jelly (she is magical!), and also salad dressing
[livejournal.com profile] lizstarsky: mashed potatoes (and breasts? XD) emergency BREASTS, if no one else can find any fowl
[livejournal.com profile] llamachan: drinks (I vote red wine!)
[livejournal.com profile] dilettantka: "vegetables of some sort"
[livejournal.com profile] kurayamihimitsu + friend: drinks, maybe vegetables? last-minute stuff from the supermarket
[livejournal.com profile] later_uk: ?
[livejournal.com profile] genkischuldich + partner: ? bread, butter
[livejournal.com profile] hinoai: how's the search for meat coming along? ^_^
[livejournal.com profile] starrbeam: ? red wine, something dessert-ish
[livejournal.com profile] akahannah (possibly, maybe): alcohol

Re: vegetables, I guess corn, peas, carrots, etc. would be good, to those thinking of bringing that.

Re: drinks, we need red wine (cheap is fine) for the sangria, and whatever other alcohol people want (I have crème de cacao, so bring some milk and vodka and I will make white russians!), as well as tea, soft drinks and juice for those who want that.

We need:

- confirmed meat! Turkey, chicken, whatever, but it would be sad if the only meat to be had was what I'm putting in the stuffing.
- fruit for the sangria (I already have kabosu, but canned pineapples and mikan would be good)
- orange juice and tonic or some sort of fizzy stuff for the sangria
- bread and butter
- cheese? :D
- ice (I only have 2 small ice cube trays T___T)
- paper plates (I have one pack, but we'll need 2 more, probably)
- could a couple of people bring a large serving dish/bowl or two, or even cooking pots? I don't have very many and if Easter is anything to go by, we'll be short on those!
ETA - for the salad: dark-leaf lettuce, red onion, blue cheese crumbles, dried cherries, and walnuts (only half a cup each of the last three), but it works with any salad, really. If someone wants to pitch in those ingredients, that would be awesome, or else just a regular undressed salad

N.B. There is a supermarket right behind my apartment building, so you can get pretty much anything there, if you don't feel like hauling it all the way from your place.

Also:

What do you guys think of having some sort of theme? Apart from stuffing our faces, of course.

ETA: Tiffany has declared the theme to be BREASTS! XD

Discuss.

Let me know re: the meat situation, preferably on Saturday sometime. If they're needed, I can buy some BREASTS (has to be capitalized) and bake them in our toaster oven one by one, storing them neatly in tupperware until the shindig on Sunday. :P And even if I do this, I could still make mashed potatoes at your place afterwards, provided I was able to stop at the grocery store beforehand.

I have the ingredients for a good salad dressing, but no actual salad components as yet! The salad that my family usually make with the dressing has dark-leaf lettuce, red onion, blue cheese crumbles, dried cherries, and walnuts (only half a cup each of the last three), but it works with any salad, really. If someone wants to pitch in those ingredients, that would be awesome, or else just a regular undressed salad enough for ten people, I guess. XD

I am extremely sad that I cannot be in Tokyo to get in on the Thanksgiving (and eating) fun.

But yay for Canadian holidays that match up with Japanese ones~

Is it okay if James comes too?

I can bring bread and butter, but even between both of us, we probably can't manage breasts!

I can't bring serving stuff just because of where I am and getting there, but I offer my money and yummies from Kyoto. :3

...With all the people who already know what they're bringing and such, how about my friend and I just pitch in and get things when needed at the grocery store? And if nothing's needed, just pitch in money wise or something? o.o holy hell that's a lot of people....

I'll go out tomorrow (Sat) and see if I can find turkey from Nishi-Azabu or something.. ^^ I could also try costco, but it's a long ways away, so not sure if I can make it out there..

Either way, I'll txt you tmw and let you know what I've found!
