Furthermore, I was bilingual, well-traveled and college-educated." Oh bitch, what? Get a clue, to get a job here, you need a college education. Most ESL teachers are well travelled. And, uh, blond ≠ beautiful. It's taking a lot of self restraint to not comment and tell her "Wow,your life is pathetic if you feel unattractive just because you're like every other foreign girl in Japan. Get over yourself."
