Hmm... maybe part of the problem with motivation is that the other things you're accomplishing are just plain more fun to do? Perhaps there's some kind of reward system you can establish for stretching, beyond the obvious "if I do this more I will get better at it and it will help my dance :D!"

I think you've just been really non-stop busy without a break and with the change of weather plus the stress taking a physical toll as well as a psychological one, it might just be building up and spilling over (eww, okay, think of it as fondue)

Ballet is one of the most hyper-body-conscious practices I can think of - even other kinds of dance and other sports have variations that ballet just doesn't seem to have, particularly because of the ensemble element. However, I think what's most important with ANY kind of dance is the connection of your body and its movement with your... spirit sounds cheesy but I mean something that's generally inexpressable but something very deep inside of you that you can find when you are moving to music. That has nothing to do with your shape, because every person's ah... spirit... terrible word choice, sorry, is unique to them. To me that is what dance really "means," both as an observer and as a participant. That has nothing at all to do with whatever standard form your body is "supposed" to have to look "right." I know ballet is much more standardized than many other kinds of dance, but even in ballet I think the element that I find mesmerizing is all about expressing that feeling (to put it very simplistically)

Also, you're hot, finger snaps and chicken-neck action go here, etc. :)
