Almost Christmas!
Tonight I get to see The Two Towers again, provided my travel plans come through. Ah, Gollum was so great, and Helm's Deep, and the Ents and all the rest. Seeing the Riders of Rohan charge down that slope was amazing, and reminded me of nothing so much as the Old English battle poetry I've read. Which isn't surprising, really, because that's where it comes from.
For the last two weeks, I keep having these really creepy moments of déjà vu. I'm not quite sure what to make of them, as several of them involved people I've known less than a month and haven't spent that much time with.
Today is the "Journée du français", which means I'm not teaching. I will, however, get to see my students perform their own original adaptation of "Le grincheux qui voulait voler le français", which they performed for me yesterday. I might have to post their script, it's hilarious.
