blodeueddAh, Montreal in nice spring weather... a pleasure to be out and about. Because we didn't get to go see the Cirque du soleil as we'd wanted to (170$ tickets being a leetle bit outside of our price range), we saw Spider-Man on Friday evening and spent Saturday walking around downtown and waiting for our food to arrive. It was ridiculous: in both the restaurants we went to, we waited at least an hour for our food! At least we had interesting conversations.
Our attempt at getting drunk failed rather miserably, at least for me. I couldn't stay awake during "Atlantis" (no big loss, I suppose), though I did majorly suck at Puzzle Fighter afterwards. I swear, the arrows on the control were moving around under my fingers!
It's a hilarious thing to hear one of your best friends blurt out to your boyfriend, on the metro, "I want to touch your balls!" This was followed by a moment of silence, then a horrified "I meant your muscles!", then gales of laughter from yours truly & co. The people around us were looking at us rather strangely after that.
Aside from that, I scored some nice stuff; a pretty flowery top, a cute skirt (that says "groggy" on it, which was perfect for last night), a cool bathing suit and, best of all two photo albums. The first has Asuka Sohryu Langley on the front, with the words "The lure of you the sweet of you" and Rei Ayanami on the back. The other is a Hello Kitty one (gah! I succumbed to the cuteness!) with the kitty herself seated in front of a donut on the plate, along with the words "I like donuts". This struck me as so perfectly ludicrous that I had to buy it.
