Jun. 25th, 2004 03:29 pmI'm in love. With my new Kamik sandals. Won't my footsies be happy, traipsing around Europe in those!
Releasing Buji and Bujiong into their new habitat was pretty funny and surprisingly easy. They seem nicely settled in already, though Buji's fascination for the Door Leading Outside is growing at an alarming rate.
Yesterday being a holiday, I wasted most of my afternoon sleeping. Guh. Trying to make up for it today, because I have the afternoon off, I went to Bouclair and spent an hour looking at patterns, finally finding a really cute dress pattern that will be perfect for the polka-dot material I bought the other day.
Remember that student I bitched about a few months back? I was right about her playing the racism card; she wrote a 2-page letter, cc to several people, asking that in the future, the teachers refrain from touching upon her Chinese heritage, as she felt she was being the victim of some horrible white people conspiracy to make her feel ethnically inferior. Not in those words, exactly, but that was the idea. So now in our weekly teachers' meetings we refer to her as "the blonde Dutch girl". XD I love my coworkers.
