Figgy pudding and good cheer
Dec. 25th, 2004 11:51 pmSince there's still some time left, it's not too late to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. :)
It's over! I feel like I've been up for a whole week. Yesterday seemed long because of work, shopping, getting my place ready, having my folks over, then going back to the ol' homestead, watching slides, etc. I didn't even get that much sleep and today was opening gifts, going for our traditional walk, helping my mother with the food, watching my father's new Corner Gas DVDs, having Andrea's family over for supper, eating and drinking too much and watching an hour of The Return of the King. I only just got home and would like to take a bath, but I have to get up for brunch tomorrow, so I don't know; I'm dying of fatigue as it is.
What did I get? Several books, some movies, a couple of cooking accessories (though G's the one who really cleaned up in that department!) and cash. My brothers got me a Tom Clancy novel as a joke, but I suppose I might as well try to read it, so I can say, en toute connaissance de cause, that it sucks. ^.^
"You'll have to actually think of a present for me next year," I told G, seeing as now I'm the proud owner of the whole LotR. But that means that I'll have to actually think of a present for my father, too.
