As I'm about to embark on a major reorganization of my sewing room, I say, "Hah, lazy Sunday, indeed!"

Since my lj loquaciousness didn't make it past the end of the holidays, allow to me say that I saw Narnia with G and his mother, last weekend.

- Lucy was absolutely adorable. That grin! *grin*
- Mr. Tumnus was absolutely adorable. Those little horns!
- Professor Kirk's house was marvelous. I want to live there! *pout*
- Aslan's voice was just... too soft, the pitch wasn't deep enough. He looked great, though.
- The animals were so-so (save Aslan), animation-wise. I think if there hadn't been any "real people" around as contrast, they would have looked better.
- What the hell was the White Witch wearing?! At least her other outfits, especially her battle garb (though somewhat more primitive than I'd always imagined her) were cool. And she wasn't nearly regal enough, I think she sounded like a petulant child in her scenes with Edmund.
- Is it just me, or did Susan and Lucy go from being blue-eyed and brown-eyed, respectively, to being the opposite in their adult selves? Or did I confuse them? Other than that, their older selves looked great, except that Susan wouldn't have changed that much, she looked to be already a teenager so her features are pretty much set. But I understand they couldn't have all the others change dramatically while she remained the same.
- The costumes were fabulous, except for the White Witch's stuffed monstrosity, which only looked cool when she was either seated or cloaked. The scene were she follows Aslan into the tent, the padding and wiring -- and whatever else was going on in that dress -- looked really bad, bouncing over the grass.
- Centaurs. Lady centaurs. Come on, how cool were they? I hope whoever's responsible for Harry Potter's ridiculous version of same is hiding in shame, right now.

All right, now for some ironing!

(And the crowd goes wild.)
