Since I have nothing better to do right now I'm too lazy to write about the coolest store EVER, I'll just do like [livejournal.com profile] sewphisticate and [livejournal.com profile] laurenmonkey and

1. What bill do you hate paying the most?
I guess that would have been the hydro bill (because I never knew exactly how much it would be) but since I moved in with G, most of the bills are addressed to him, so he takes care of writing the cheque.

2. What's the best place to eat a romantic dinner?
Anywhere the food is good and the decor is nice, though outdoors in summer is always pleasant.

3. Last time you puked from drinking?
I've only ever once done that, and that's because I smoked pot after having had a whole lot to drink. And I only threw up the next morning.

4. When is the last time you got drunk and danced on a bar?
I don't think I've ever danced on a bar, though the last time I got drunk (Thursday) I went out to karaoke! But I must stress that I always love karaoke, with or without alcohol.

5. Name of your first grade teacher?
Mrs. Hanley

6. What do you really want to be doing right now?
I'd really like to be unpacking our things and setting up my sewing room. Or going back to that amazing store.

7. What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A ballerina, an egyptologist, Legolas. Oh, and probably a princess. But after elementary school, I didn't have a clear idea at all except I knew it should involve writing and/or languages.

8. How many colleges did you attend?
One, the University of Ottawa. Although because of Quebec's weird school system, I suppose I could count Cégep de l'Outaouais as grade 12 + first year of university.

9. Why did you wear the shirt that you have on right now?
I'm wearing a dress because it was easy to slip on after my shower.

10. GAS PRICES! First thought?
Haha, I have no car!

11. If you could move anywhere and take someone with you...
I'd take G and the cats (damn quarantine...grr...) though I don't know where we'd go -- we're already in Tokyo, I think we'll stay a while.

12. First thought when the alarm went off this morning?
Must...get...up...and...go...to...gym... *falls back asleep*

13. Last thought before going to sleep last night?
I was willing the nausea to go away, my tummy was feeling poorly.

14. Favorite style of underwear?
Low-rise bikini.

15. Favorite style of underwear for the opposite/same sex?
I'm not so big on boxers, but I don't really have a preference.

16. What errand/chore do you despise?
I really dislike vacuuming. I'd much rather clean a bathroom.

17. If you didn't have to work, would you volunteer at an art gallery?
There are lots of other things I'd do, but that could be fun.

18. Get up early or sleep in?
I'm not a super-early riser, but I don't like to sleep in past 10:30 or so.

19. What is your favorite cartoon character?
Nuriko! He'll always be my great cartoon love... *sniff*

20. Favorite NON sexual thing to do at night with a girl/guy?
Walk, talk, laugh at things together.

21. A secret that you wouldn't mind everyone knowing?
Err... When I go up/down stairs, I always count them and try to alternate which foot reaches the top/bottom first, so that if I go up and I reach the top on my left foot, going down I'll reach the bottom with my right. I've been doing that since I was 7 years old and I have no idea why.

(22? 23?)

24. Your favorite lunch meat?
Used to be roast beef, then I went on a Cajun-style chicken breast kick. But I haven't really eaten lunch meat in years.

25. What do you get every time you go into Costco?
I've only shopped at Costco once, before we left Canada, and I bought, among other things, enough Kraft Dinner to last me three years. :D

26. Beach or lake?
Both are great, but the Ottawa River isn't great to swim in, so it was all about the lake. In Japan, I don't know yet.

27. Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual that was invented by people who died at 20?
Marriage is fine, but we did it in order for me to get G's employee benefits, since we hadn't been living together long enough to be considered to be legally a "common law" couple. A marriage of convenience, as it were, I wouldn't have done it otherwise -- I certainly have no religious reason for it! Also, the fact that Canada allows same-sex marriage made me feel better about it, as I would have felt guilty knowing that I couldn't have done it had G been a woman.

28. Who do you stalk on MySpace?
I took a look at a couple of pages, once, and they hurt my eyes.

29. Favorite guilty pleasure?
Dragonlance! :D

30. Favorite movie you wouldn't want anyone to find out about?
I don't know, I don't really hide those things. I suppose "Now & Then" for the girly/sappy/fuzzy feelings factor.

31. What's your drink? Wine or fruity drinks, really pretty much anything except beer.
Non-alcoholic: Milk, fruit juice (mango!), pretty much anything except coffee and grapefruit juice.

32. Cowboys or Indians?
Indians

33. Cops or Robbers?
Neither

34. Do you cheer for the bad guy?
Depends. If he's cool, sure; if the good guy's lame, definitely.

35. What Hollywood star do you think resembles you best?
I have no idea. Who do I look like?

36. If you had to pick one, which cast member of "Lost" would you be?
I've never seen the show.

37. What do you want when you are sick?
Soup and someone to rub my back and/or stroke my hair.

38. Who from high school would you like to run into?
There are a couple of people I'm curious about, but the 10-year reunion is next spring, so I'm hoping that curiosity will be satisfied.

39. What radio station is your car radio tuned to right now?
Way back when we had a car (in July), I listened to the CBC.

42. Norm or Cliff?
Eh?

43. The Cosby Show or the Simpsons?
The Simpsons by default, given that I don't like sitcoms as a rule and never really watched that one.

44. Worst relationship mistake that you wish you could take back?
Not accepting that it was pointless to go on.

45. Do you like the person who sits directly across from you at work?
That would have been my students and for the most part, I liked them quite a bit; only a couple really annoyed me.

46. If you could get away with it, who would you kill?
I have no idea, I don't have that kind of rage. :)

47. What famous person would you like to have dinner with?
I hate this kind of question, but I guess I'll say Guy Gavriel Kay.

48. What famous person would you like to sleep with?
I'd have to get to know them first

49. Have you ever had to use a fire extinguisher for its intended purpose?
Nope.

50. Last book you read for real?
"The Decameron" (Boccaccio) -- good read! Right now I'm reading Murakami's "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles" which is excellent.

51. Do you have a teddy bear?
Basil, my Care Bear (actually Cheer Bear, but to my three-year-old mind, the girliest-looking one was obviously a guy) and Gros Calin, a yellow stuffed rabbit who's almost as old as I am.

52. Strangest place you have ever brushed your teeth?
Strange as in an unusual place to brush one's teeth, or as in the place seemed strange? Because I've brushed them in various trains, planes and many, many campgrounds.

53. Somewhere in California you've never been and would like to go?
L.A.'s fabric district! :D

54. Number of texts in a day?
What is this text thing you speak of?

55. At this point in your life would you rather start a new career or relationship?
Should I ask G? >:)

56. Do you go to church?
No, I have no religion, never have. I visit churches as a tourist.

57. Pencil or pen?
I haven't used a pencil much since university, but I'll generally use whatever's lying around. I have a box full of pens and pencils, so I just reach in and grab.

58. bueller??? bueller??? bueller?
Who?

59. How many jobs have you had?
Guide at a local museum, telephone survey person, "information agent" for the University of Ottawa Sports Services, data entry clerk, receptionist, French teacher.

60. What do you want to achieve in life?
To find out what I want to achieve! Seriously, I love teaching, so I hope to make learning enjoyable for my students. I want to improve my sewing skills and explore different areas of creativity. Also, I want to travel some more. Lots more.
