blodeueddMoving slowly forward in my quilting adventures, I idly started a tally the other day and found that of the 16-odd fabrics I've been piecing with so so far, I've used the scraps from 4 different pairs of pyjama pants, 4 tops, 4 dresses, 1 skirt* and 1 pair of curtains. Of those things, only 1 top, 2 dresses and the skirt I made for myself; the rest were all gifts for friends and family, made within the past the past 2 years. It's nice to know I've been so productive! I tend to forget that, sometimes, since my sewing efforts are often concentrated in short, intense burst, usually around Halloween, Christmas and dance recital time and they normally involve lots of things made for others.
The wind is incredibly strong today, I'm afraid it might even blow over some of the potted plants on the terrace. And they're big ones, too!
* Technically I made 2 skirts, but since one was made out of remnants from the fabric used for a couple of the tops, I'm not going to count it, seeing as I didn't buy the fabric specifically for that purpose.
