I'm all alone again...
My aunt left yesterday morning. It's weird to have my teeny-tiny little apartment all to myself again!
Plenty of stuff to write about, but first, my thoughts on the current season of
I just watched episodes 18 and 19 and watched my beloved Sarah get voted off. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! It should have been Lauren! *breaks stuff* Sarah and Danny finally made the tango sexy this season! And she was wearing basically the same outfit Lacey did for her Broadway number, only Sarah had me drooling while Lacey had me thinking of a little girl who'd been way too tarted up.
Now that only Sabra, Lacey and Lauren are left, I really, REALLY hope Sabra wins. The problem with Lacey is that, although she's a wonderful dancer, she cannot do sexy. As soon as there's even a remote shot of her face, it ruins it for me. And I don't think it's all the fault of her features, though the mouth and chin don't help, it's that she exagerates her expressions too much and she doesn't have the maturity for it. And Totally-Not-Asian-Lauren? Who the hell makes up an Asian alter-ego to go to auditions? And what makes you think Misha is a Chinese name? Seriously. What kind of idiots have been telling her she looks Asian? Oh right, she has straight black hair. *rolls eyes* Her personality really bugs me and her dancing, while good, doesn't draw me in.
As for the guys, I think Neil should be the next to go. Between him and Dominic I didn't really mind who left, though I liked Dominic quite a bit. Neil doesn't really "do it" for me, despite the shirtless performance; he seems like a fun guy to hang around with, and his leaps are amazing, but he needs to get in touch with his more serious, sensual, sexy side, because I haven't seen it yet. And between Danny and Pasha, I don't really have a preference.
My vote is for Sabra (Sarah was my number 2 choice). Just on principle, I'd like a girl to win, but I also think that she's the most interesting, versatile dancer there.
The last two weeks have been hot and sunny, and by hot I mean that I've been constantly bathing in my sweat, even when I've JUST WIPED MYSELF OFF! I'm incredibly thankful I don't really need a bra, since it's much more comfortable to layer tank tops; that way the one closest to the skin soaks up the sweat and you can just wash that one and wear the top one(s) another day. I've also adopted some necessary items to be carried in my purse at all times, if I want to stay somewhat fresh-looking in the heat: folding fan, powder sheets for my face, washcloth (for wiping off sweat and also hands, since many public washrooms have no paper towels or hand dryers) and mini umbrella (for rain or shine!).
