Jan. 24th, 2004 11:41 pmIt's a good thing I decided, on a whim, to check the dates on my NAC tickets; otherwise, we would have missed the Royal Winnipeg Ballet perform The Magic Flute. For those of you who know the story, well, I guess you already knows what happens. For the rest of you, well... it's pretty incomprehensible, even with a programme. Still, it was a fun show and the singer who did the Queen of the Night was amazing. It was interesting to have songs, and even a few words of *gasp* dialogue in a ballet.
For supper we went to The Keg for a real steak dinner. The first one I've ever had in a restaurant, actually. We had a lovely wine, a Beaujolais Village from Louis Jadot, and even lovelier cheesecake.
This afternoon, I started sorting through my photos from Greece and had to resign myself to making two albums. I've got not only G's 8 or 9 films, but A-L's (London to Mykonos), M-P's (Santorini till the end) and around 150 of my own, taken from my slides. Before putting them all together, I thought I might be able to cull the batch down to 200 to fill an album, but I now ken there's no way in hell that'll ever happen; there are too many good pictures.
Speaking of slides, I got the slide scanner hooked up, G hooked me up with PhotoShop and with my speedy computer, scanning a slide takes practically no time at all! Which means it'll only take an evening to do the ones from Greece, if I set aside the time for it.
G also hooked me up with a Playstation and DDR so I can dance my little heart out whensoever I choose.
