It's snowing! She probably wants to get the last word in edgewise; today is the first day of spring, after all.

The plumber was in da house at 8 o'clock sharp, as promised, but was generous enough to let me sleep (in spite of what sounded like the house falling down around my ears, because I can sleep through anything) until 9. Now they've cut my water! Only for a couple of hours, he says, which I hope is the case; when I get back from running my errands, I've got dishes and myself to wash. Plus, having a cold and constantly wanting to wash my hands makes this the worst moment to have no running water. Thank god for G leaving a bottle in the fridge so I can at least drink something. Orange juice is too abrasive for my tender throaty-woaty and I drank almost all the rest of my juice except for what's frozen. Which brings me back to: no running water.

*plumber rips at the walls*

Apparently, I'll need to vaccuum as well.
Kurama and Hiei are water-logged! Ah well, at least they drowned cuddling. *sob* My beautiful pencil board was attacked by a savage drip of water from the apartment upstairs. I saved it in time, I think, but it'll still be all wrinkly. Bloh. At least my Utena doujinshi was spared -- barely. Now they're having fun turning my water on and off and they're still stomping around upstairs.

I'm sure you'll all be pleased to hear that my Kleenex stock has been replenished (tap 3 will-power mana, blast Evil Cold, etc.) but goddammit, do the cashiers at Zellers get payed to be slow? It was totally ridiculous! I stood in line for almost 10 minutes for a stupid 6-pack of facial tissues -- and there were only 3 people in front of me! Three people who had on average about 10 items each! Good thing I had time to kill before catching my bus! Bloh, I tell you, bloh!
Apparently the trouble with the Plumping Upstairs was that once upon a time, a retarded plumber decided to route the pipes through the outside walls of a paper-thin matchstick house. Any guesses on why they kept freezing? Veeeeery smart. Everything should be fine, now, except for Hiei and Kurama, who are still trying to salvage their dignity on a dish cloth. But that's the price to pay for modern amenities, I suppose.

Conicidentally, I was just thinking of this song this morning: I fell in love with it ages ago, during its very brief radio stint. I probably thought the lyrics were so profound, or something. Then a few months later I came to my senses and thought "But I don't even *like* this kind of music!" And ever since then, every time I hear it, I feel a sort of nostalgic fondness mixed with a wonder that I ever loved such a dull song. Though the first part of the tune is pretty.
