The hope that dares not speak its name
Mar. 26th, 2004 05:45 pmCould Spring be here? Could my cold be gone? *blows nose* Perhaps not.
My god, why didn't I think of this sooner? *mixes herself a drink, heavy on the Kahlua*
Aaahh, that's better.
So, what have I been up to this past week? Blowing my nose, mostly. I finally got around to doing the dishes last night, after a long phone conversation with Anna. It's amazing how that girl always manages to call me just when I really need to do the dishes and am trying to put it off for a few more minutes. I started working on my solo for the dance recital and got 40 seconds done in a few minutes (it's a 3-minute piece) so it shouldn't be too painful, especially since I have ideas for when the music picks up about halfway through.
This time tomorrow, I'll be wearing glasses! Wednesday, I went to see my nice optometrist who told me that a) the shadow-spots in my right eye are perfectly harmless and will probably go away after a while and b) she would normally automatically prescribe glasses to someone as near-sighted as I am but since I don't drive much and don't really need them, it was up to me. So I'll get to test them on Sunday, when I'm going to see The Mikado.
Tomorrow, I think I'll try out a new recipe. I bought a bunch of pears, so that pear-stuffed chicken one is a definite possibility...
