I had a link, then I lost it and have no idea how to find it again; I don't even know how I found it in the first place. Anyone ever seen a page that -- okay, I'll try to explain this. It's a web site that's got all sorts of articles on "weird stuff", mostly thematically organised, I believe. It's mostly about myths, legends or real freaky things, with a historical bent, such as explaining the origins of the vampire myth, who Alistair Crowley was, what's up with cannibalism, etc. Searching for it will require patience, since I think the main page had a list of themes and there were sub-themes, too. It had a catchy title.

Help?

My book of the moment is Herodotus's The Histories which are absolutely fascinating to read. Thucydides was a humourous chap but kept himself in check, whereas Herodotus goes into great detail about everything under the sun, tongue in cheek more often than not. His descriptions of various cultures and of monuments that he saw himself, long and detailed as they are, make me want to up and travel.

Aren't I a good girl? It's Friday night and I'm doing my laundry! Go me!
