Oct. 3rd, 2005 07:13 pmI haven't written in so long, where to begin? With G off if Japan for the next seven weeks, I have to adjust to living alone -- what a shock to think that I actually have to cook for myself! I honestly haven't cooked anything at all except for Kraft Dinner and a few desserts, and helped G prepare some stuff, since I moved in. And even before then, I was spending so much time here that I didn't spend much time in the kitchen at my place anyway.
So, my routine will include Corner Gas on Mondays, ANTM on Wednesdays and films téteux nights with A-L. Also, there are dance classes to teach and attend and a gym that's no doubt feeling neglected. On top of that, I still have a contract to finish and Japanese to study and clothing to sew.
And then, and then, and then, what do you suppose I brought back from Vancouver? Idly searching for fabric shop addresses, the words "Punjabi market" leapt out at me. It hadn't occured to me that with its large population of people of South Asian ancestry, Vancouver would be a great place to get sari and salwar kameez fabrics. Between that and all the spices, herbs and dried things G bought when we went grocery shopping with his aunt, I had to lug a second suitcase home.
