'Twas the morning before Christmas
Dec. 24th, 2005 10:09 amIt's a bit later than I would have liked, but I'm up, breakfasted, and there's a load of laundry getting cleaner. Now, time to get cracking!
To do before 5-ish:
- finish up the presents (adding elastic, hemming, finishing a bag)
- iron, cut and sew the lining for my wedding coat
- cut and pin at least the lining of the dress
- wash the dishes
- finish the laundry
- wake G
- make a grocery list for G
-tidy up the kitchen/dining room
- wrap the gifts and set them under the tree (because at the moment there is NOTHING there except a pretty cloth (to hide the stand) that the cats keep playing with and moving around -- wonder how the presents will fare?)
- put candles and such out to make the house a touch more festive
- call my brother back about our parents' present, because of course he called me yesterday at 9 p.m. and asked if I could go pick it up. Um, do I look like I have time?
Also of note:
WHY IS THE SNOW MELTING??? It's not fair. For once, we have three solid weeks of winter before Christmas and then two days before, it gets above freezing again. BLOH, I say!
All right, back to the ol' ironing board.
