Counting down the days
Dec. 23rd, 2005 12:53 amI was so busy whining and being depressed that my fabric hadn't gotten here that it never occurred to me that when it did, I might have too much choice. -_-; And G isn't helping much. Whadda ya mean, I don't have to match the gift bags? Rar!
Whine?
Taught my last ballet class for a couple of weeks; it'll be nice to have a break. Only three girls showed up, though two had already warned they wouldn't be there, so I don't know what happened to the other two. Too close to Christmas, no doubt, as the roads were all right today.
Of the 13 sewing projects I listed a week ago, it's somewhat disheartening to have only crossed three off the list. There are a couple that aren't really projects for the right-here-right-now, so I guess I could put them on a long-term list. Then again, I found a couple of old long-term lists the other day, and there was plenty of stuff still to be done.
*sigh*
In spite of my ranting about Gatineau, I had to go back today to run some more errands. It was pretty silly, I had to stop in Hull, Gatineau and Aylmer for various things, with no way to make a more sensible trip. Anyway, my hatred of Gatineau persists. As I was saying to G, just because you have the space doesn't mean you have to use it to build the ugliest, most confusing, most poorly-thought-out mall shopping centre ever! And much of Gatineau is like that, at least the commercial districts; big boxes plunked down along depressing boulevards, hardly any trees, train tracks and traffic lights as decoration. Its only redeeming feature is Fabricville.
