Mar. 24th, 2006 01:06 amIn a bit under 9 hours, I leave for Iqaluit! True North* (strong and free), here I come!
I think I have everything I need. Though I'll only be spending the week, poor Anna's up there with no way to buy Pocky, Asian vegetables, reasonably-priced cookies. Hency the huge amount of foodstuff I'm taking along. I'm also taking my mother's old down parka, which has one of those tunnel-like hoods that zips all the way up over the nose, should one feel inclined to hide everything but the eyes.
Since I'm taking the digital camera along for the ride, I'm thinking I might update my Travelpod (www.travelpod.com/members/gadelle) during the week, with pictures. Which reminds me, I need to go back and write up my Newfoundland trip!
* I may originally hail from the True North of Ontario (as in, Sudbury is the south of the north, and as a child I called our yearly visits to Ottawa "going down south"), but this'll be my first time
