Not that I'm in any way involved in the Harry Potter Fandom -- in fact, the only Harry Potter fanfiction I ever read, if indeed I ever read any, was either MSTed or done over by the FicBitches -- but I must recommend this exposé as a fascinating snapshot of a fandom that is much too big and has too much time on its hands. At least some of the members apparently do! Let me just say that the whole "shipping" debates seem incredibly ridiculous to me, as it was obvious from book one that Harry & Hermione would never happen (and if it does in the seventh book, then... that will have come out of nowhere and for no good reason) and as soon as Harry started to cool on Cho, it seemed a no-brainer to me as to who he'd be linked with next. Also, what is with the Draco worshipping? In the books, he's nothing buy a whiny brat and a bully. With a Daddy complex, as is shown in book 6. And in the movies, he looks like a greasy rodent. In plenty of other instances, I can understand fawning over an antagonist, but in such cases said antagonist has style, wit, or at least charm. I fail to see it in this case.

As for rl stuff, the countdown is on. Two weeks to go! So far, I have not finished the inventory and I have nothing to wear for Costume College. What's a girl to do?
