100% more sober than my last post!
May. 11th, 2008 08:39 pmUm, yeah... Even without the alcohol in my system, those damn French keyboard get me every time. I can has Canadian French, plz?
Provence was lovely and the wine and the bread and the cheese and the fish and the CROISSANTS were delicious. Expect photos on my travelpod... tomorrow? Obviously, my laziness is becoming problematic, in that my weekly reviews/travel posts are not so weekly anymore, and also I'm going to see Tenimyu Dream Live 5th on Saturday and I've only watched up to Side Yamabuki. >_< In my defense, uh... I had to work today?
I went to Ikebukuro this afternoon to bask in the fannish aura of the area. What with Animate, K-Books and other assorted manga/doujinshi/merchandise shops concentrated on one block, it's quite potent! I had to laugh: while at Animate, examining the Prince of Tennis goods*, a girl called out happily to her friend, "Mite, Fuji-kun da!". 30 seconds later, another group of girls arrived, and the first one's excited "Fuji-sama!!!" was answered by a delighted shriek of "Yokatta!" Ah, degrees of fan love...
Afterwards I went next door to look at the doujinshi, and was again saddened by the serious lack of Rikkai. I know that Hyoutei is by far the most popular school -- and at the Mandarake in Shibuya, on top of the usual pairing suspects, there are even enough AtobexKamio books to justify their own SECTION (really, AtobexKamio? The hell?) -- but I want some hot YukiSana lovin', damn it! I had to content myself with some hot Silver Pair lovin'. :D
I didn't even make it to the other doujinshi stores, because I had no more cash left, and my bank chose this weekend to merge with another bank or something, and BLOCK ALL SERVICES. Even withdrawal from combini ATMs, according to my coworker, who tried unsuccesfully to withdraw some money. Curses!
My Kraft Dinner is ready, so I'm sitting down to watch Dream Live 2nd, and maybe Hyoutei if I'm not too tired.
* I was a bit miffed that most of the stuff had either Atobe, Oshitari, Tezuka, Ryouma or Fuji on it. While I like Atobe, I'm not quite obsessive enough to have a chibi of him dangling from my phone. If it had been Inui, though... I ended up buying a simple Seigaku strap for my sexy new flash drive.
