2008 - The First Sentence of the Month:

January: Usually, I'm fairly good at multitasking, so it's annoying that there are certain things that I can't do at once, such as type and peel a clementine.
February: White Noise 2 is the kind of movie I'd never bother watching unless I were already sitting in front of the screen and someone handed me some all-dressed Ruffles and pressed play, but I must admit that the idea of Starbuck and Captain Reynolds together is pretty hot.
March: This week, a book and, to switch things up a bit, some music!
April: Waking up at 6 was not as brutal as I thought it would be, despite the fact that my cunning plan of going to bed early (for once!) was foiled by my taking longer than I'd have liked to fall asleep.
May: Um, yeah... Even without the alcohol in my system, those damn French keyboard get me every time.
June: Our weekend in Osaka was lots of fun -- may I suggest that Nara makes a better day trip from Osaka rather than Kyoto?
July: I AM CONNECTED!!!
August: I'm officially on vacation until the 18th!
September: *praying for the weather to stay nice so I can toss the kids in the pool after lunch*
October: I just got back from Hokkaido and I've got to get to bed, because I've got to get up and go to work tomorrow (;__;)
November: Anybody up for doing anything tomorrow or Monday?
December: Today I splurged on strawberries, cream and wine, but my throat is still sore and I don't feel like eating right now.

Conclusion: A good year. XD
Am currently working on listing what I read and watched in 2008. This could take a while...

In recent happenings, I very nearly pulled another sewing all-nighter when Lindsay and Jamie came over again (bringing Rose along -- nice to meet you! I totally forgot to ask who you are on lj! >_<) to try to finish their cosplay outfits. They called it off at 4 a.m., though, and I crawled into bed only to have to wake up at 7 to call A-L, because our 2-minute chat earlier (which was mostly me crying because I miss her so much) was not enough. After that, I went back to sleep, and awoke at 11:30 to a text from K, asking if I'd like to meet up and go shopping at... 11:30.

We ended up meeting closer to 1:30, and after lunch in Shibuya we headed over to the new H&M in Harajuku. It was packed, and we had to wait about ten minutes in the queue outside, there were so many people. I've always liked H&M, ever since I discovered it on my first trip to Europe (indeed, I still wear the cardigan I bought that time), and this one is huge! We didn't buy anything, though we did try some stuff on -- I was tempted by the turquoise dress, but I've already spent enough money these past few days, and need to keep some for some more shopping next week!
