A Very Good Year
Jan. 1st, 2009 04:47 pmHappy new year, everyone!
Thank you, all of you, for making 2008 such a wonderful year. Thank you to those I've known for a while, for your ever-present friendship. Thank you to those I've known for a shorter while, for bringing new and interesting things into my life.
Special thanks to those of you I've met up with in Japan -- I hope I'll be able to spend lots more time with you in the future! Last year, one of my resolutions was to meet new people and make new friends. While I had no idea that it would happen because of Prince of Tennis (back then, PoT was nothing but a large, unwatched chunk of my hard drive!), I'm so, so grateful to have met you all and to have spent such fun times with you, and look forward to getting to know you even more.
Now, before I get [even more] misty-eyed, a brief run-down of the past year: ( 2008 )
So, how did I do regarding my resolutions for 2008? (Italics are for "sort of did it" ^_^) ( A year ago, I said I would... )
And in 2009, I will:
- Get divorced
- Attempt level 2 of the JLPT (K is in on this, and we have plans for weekly kanji cramming sessions)
- Do weekly reviews and Travelpod updates. Really.
- Go after what I really want.
I'll leave the recap of my Awesome New Year Night & Sunrise for another entry, because this one is long enough as it is.
