*waves at all the lovely people met at yesterday's hanami festivities*
Ah, hanami. Bringingdrunk people together since the dawn of alcohol. XD~~~
And now, a list. I shall call it
Things I Could Be Doing At This Moment Instead of Wasting Time:
1. Watching Lost -- or any of the roughly ten thousand movies and series languishing on my external hard drive -- while making progress on my curtains;
2. Working on the costumes for Oliver!, which I need to hand in in just under three weeks;
3. Calculating a budget for my family's week in Tokyo, so that my father knows how much money to bring along;
4. Uploading pictures of the various hanami events I participated in;
5. Writing reviews of the plays I've seen recently (Richard III and the crack-fest that was 桜 SAKURA サクラ);
6. Finishing the transformation of my old jeans into a mini-skirt;
7. Painting my nails;
8. Studying Japanese;
9. Tossing out winter clothes that I know I won't wear another season;
10. Preparing a detailed shedule for the next few weeks, because it'll be insanity until I leave for Hawaii and I need to manage my time more efficiently than I've been doing;
11. Writing about my little soubetsukai (NO MORE SECOND JOB!!!!oneone! :D) and about my new full-time schedule at the preschool.
You see? So many constructive things I could be doing... But here I am, sitting at the computer, wishing I had more sushi, and being distracted by LOLcats. @_@;;;
Is it wrong that I sometimes write items I've already done on my to-do list just so I can immediately cross them out?
*fails*
Ooh, ooh, I must mention that yesterday was a momentous day because I got to speak French (albeit very briefly) with two different people, neither of whom was my mother or one of my French students. It's really starting to get to me, this living in English with a healthy dose of Japanese and barely any French. It'll be nice to back home for a while this summer with my homegirls (that would be A-L and M-P, yo! XD).
Today was my first afternoon lesson with three 7- and 8-year-old boys: Fuya, Noaya and Shuuichirou, none of whom know any English. What they lacked in knowledge they certainly made up for in gambaru pawaa, and the lesson ended up going by incredibly fast. At the end of class, I asked them how they found English. "難しかった?" "ちょっと英語がわからないけど、楽しかった! " answered Fuya.
I think they're going to be a lot of fun, and I'm chuffed they all gave me a rating of "楽しい! :D" for their first English class ever.
All right, I think I'll tackle the winter clothes before sitting down for some Lost. Otherwise I'll never be able to catch up to the current season and then I won't be able to follow the podcast K insists I'll absolutely love and she'll disown me and then who will I go to Stitch 'n' Bitch with? ;__;
Speaking of which, I think there's one tomorrow night. And you know what? I CAN GO! BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE A SECOND JOB ANYMORE! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! :DDDD
