Of all the guests I've had so far, B1 was certainly the one who took up the least space. Not only because he's something of a neat freak, but also because he had a backpack, which stood in the corner, as opposed to a suitcase lying open, and he hardly bought anything at all while he was here. I saw him off at Tokyo station an hour ago, and it's weird to be sitting in my apartment all by myself, and it'll be even stranger to watch Prince of Tennis on my own tonight.

We didn't make it through Hyoutei, but we did make it to the first chibi episode last night, and I was delighted that B1 laughed just as hard as I did at the "Sentimental!" "He's running away!" "He loves to run!" "Let's all run toward the sunset together!" exchange.

So, speaking of apartments, I'm moving! Next week! Sort of. I get the new place next Sunday, but I've got this place until the 28th, so I'll be in between for a week or so, I guess. The new place is about 2km from Kichijouji station (but closer to the Inokashira line, forget which station), so while it's technically kind of out in the boonies, it's twice as big as what I have now, cheaper, and I can have Tabitha with me! I've missed having a furball around... Of course, I'll no doubt spend the first month or so shocked at how much fur one little cat can produce. Good thing I work with kids, I won't care so much if I show up at work with half a cat's worth of fur on my clothes. XD

Before I actively started looking for an apartment, I wasn't really eager to leave Asakusa. It's a quiet neighbourhood, the park and the river are pretty, I know my way around -- but now that I've spent more time in Kichijouji, I'm looking forward to relocating. For one thing, there's lots of good shopping to be done there: there's a OIOI, a store with discounted sweets and snacks, plenty of clothing stores, a large Yuzawaya (for all my crafting/sewing needs!) and an Animate!

Damn, but this whole endeavour will be expensive... On top of all the key money/deposit for having a pet/moving fees, I need to buy a fridge, a microwave, a washing machine, and a gas range -- because this apartment has no range. The hell?! I knew about the rest, but I expected at least something to cook with. *shrug* Don't know yet if I'll get one ring or two. While I've survived quite well for the past year with only one, it might be nice to have a second one from time to time.

Now I have to start sorting through my things (again) and packing. Fun!
