Fashion sense, I has it! XD

Here's the dress, FINALLY! (Because it was supposed to be a quick project that I started... weeks ago. >_<) Actually, it was meant to be a skirt, first and foremost, a skirt I could also wear as a dress, but I think I'll be wearing it much more as a dress, just because I'm really pleased with how it turned out. The 15m (maybe a slight exageration... but it took at least 12!) of elastic are in the top part, and are what took me so long, because the rest of it is just a basic peasant skirt. Next time -- and I plan on making at least one more in more autumnal/wintery colours -- I should investigate elastic thread, as that would drastically cut down on the sewing time.






This is what I was wearing today, in case anyone was wondering what I look like when I go to work. (Don't worry, I carefully wiped off my shoes before letting them up past the genkan.) Actually, I just wanted to show off my new purple purse. Isn't it purple? Isn't it purse-like? Isn't saying "purple purse" so much fun? :D





And now, belted! Please ignore my face de boeuf in this one: I was just annoyed that after a dozen pictures, I still hadn't taken a decent shot. :P *is not top model material*


Tabitha has decided that she's too good for her waterbowl, and prefers to lick off the sides of the tub and the floor of the bathroom after I've showered. But since I only shower once a day, she has to get fluids from somewhere, so the toilet is her second choice. Not the water in the toilet, but the water from the faucet on top, that fills up the tank after each flush. As soon as she sees me heading in the direction of the toilet, she rushes in with me and leaps onto the top of the tank.






Next, she'll be demanding that I divert a clear mountain stream through the apartment.

That's a pretty dress. It looks all soft and I like the shape of it.

"Purple purse" XDD That reminds me of the time my siblings and I were driving with my dad somewhere (back when he owned a MAGENTA NEON ;oidfghdfg), and we were in the parking lot (we had stopped to eat), and this guy shouted out "FAG!" at my dad. He stuck his head out the window and with a lisp, shouted back "SHUT THE HELL UP OR I'LL BEAT YOU WITH MY PURPLE PURSE!". XD I lol'd hard.

That dress is awesome and definitely needs a sibling in autumn colours. I like how multi-functional that is as well with being a skirt, dress paired with other items, or a sundress for an evening out.

And purple purses rock! I have two and one is packed up for me to bring, though it's a lot smaller than yours.

Tabitha is too cute and I love how you caught her in mid lick. My cat normally sticks with her bowl but I have caught her a couple of times in the past trying to dip her head down into the toilet bowl without losing her balance. I think she's given up on that now since I moved her bowl to my room where she normally hangs out.

The trouble is that I always take so long to get around to sewing stuff that I'm out of season. *cough* I would have worn this to death over the spring and summer, but now that we're nearing the end of September... >_< I can still get away with wearing it with leggings, boots and a sweater, though, so I'll be doing that.
