Me: *using little toy cookies to demonstrate* So if I have 2 cookies here and 3 cookies here, how many does that make?
Yua: So many!
Me: Okay, let's try again. If I have 2 cookies in one hand and 3 cookies in the other hand, and I put them together, how many cookies can I eat?
Yua: All of them! :D
Me: Good enough, I guess. XD *turns to the next kid* Can you read this out for me? *pointing at "2 + 1 = 3"*
Mai: Two plus one pickles three!
Me: XDDDD EQUALS! EQUALS! *laughing helplessly*

I should get cracking and sew some fall clothes, before it's no longer fall. Though really, winter here feels like fall to me -- *insert standard Canadian "You call this cold?!" comment here*. Anyway, I want to make myself a pair of shorts from this really nice grey woollen plaid I have, because although I no longer take the largest pants size at Uniqlo (only the second-largest! XD), I still do not comfortably fit into pants at any other store that I've found. -_-;

Due to the Disney Princess Project (which I will refer to from now on as DPP), I was thinking that having to sew certain things would make me really want to sew other stuff on top of it, and I was right. It's not much of a surprise, because back when it was ballet recital time and I helped out by making a lot of costumes, I'd always end up sewing other stuff for myself; also, back in university, I once had 15 novels (plus the usual poems and essays and texts) to read in one semester, and I read at least as many other books on top of that over those three and a half months.

I should really get some work done on the DPP this evening. I'm thinking I can sew up Pocahontas and mock-up Jasmine, or at least Jasmine's pants and Snow White's skirt. And also, make myself a cute little purse to go with my yukata for tomorrow night.

Speaking of which, I haven't yet decided which yukata to wear: pink with black obi, or black with yellow obi? I guess I'll see what kind of mood I'm in tomorrow. (^_^)v

I didn't even pack my winter coat! XD I was there last February and it felt like spring to me so this time, since I can't wear the winter coat to save space, I ditched it and packed my cute black spring coat instead and I'm wearing another one though I'll probably end up doing the cool kid waist-wrap with it once I start trekking around Asakusa with my luggage.

It was nearly 30 degrees here yesterday, so... Just put the coat in your luggage, you won't need to wear it in Tokyo! I haven't even gotten my long-sleeved t-shirts out yet.
