We're broke!
I had a dream last night, no doubt brought on by my father's updates on his home improvement efforts, that he had gotten a bit carried away rebuilding the deck and had built it over most of the back yard, and around the trees. And the other night, I had an even stranger dream in which I went to visit Crofton, who lived in an apartment with no door (we had to climb in through the window) and he had a cute little kitten who sat down in the bowl of soup I was eating. But when the kitten finally got out of my soup, it was completely dry. This must mean something!
One thing I forgot to write is that we saw our first rats in Nha Trang! And last night I saw my first cockroach, scurrying down the sidewalk. It didn't fly, though.
We seriously have to stop buying clothes. I suggest we leave Hoi An (Hoi An, which is not Hanoi, in case you were wondering. We're still quite a ways south of Hanoi) as soon as we can. The problem is, it's really a very pleasant town, with genuine old buildings that survived the wars, trees, and good restaurants.
We picked up some of our clothes today, and they're lovely! Anna and A-L, your dresses are done, we hope they fit! At any rate, they'll look very nice, hanging in your closets. ^_^ We still have to go back to a couple of the shops, one of my tops and a pair of pants for M-P needed adjusting. And I have a sinking feeling that we're going to end up buying more. *hides her face in her hands*
Oh well, we'll just have to eat a little less, later. Or pig out on the local specialty, which is much cheaper than other stuff. They also make delicous wonton soup, here, but they spell it a little differently, which made me laugh. I'll have some wanton soup, please...

Becs. Becs.
