I'm going to do this if it kills me... Reviews! D: Don't even ask about a recap of the Atami Experience, because my brain would have to be on, and it's... not. I haven't even uploaded my photos!
Luck in the Shadows, Stalking Darknesss and Traitor's Moon (Lynn Flewelling)
I picked up the first of these books at Book Off while waiting for my train, and was more than pleased to find out that it was the first of a series, so I asked my mother to send me the others for Christmas. Sadly, I only have one left...
I really haven't the energy to go into detail, but let me say that I really like Seregil (and his better understanding of himself by the end of the third book was handled very nicely, I thought), I really like Alec (and I'd guessed the "secret" long before if was revealed), and I love the two of them together (though I guess I've been reading too much fanfiction, because I was all, "This is so TAME!" XD). Thero grew on me, as I expected he would, and Beka and Klia are both characters of which I wouldn't mind seeing more.
I also liked how the second book focused on events that were huge and important and everything, but there was no "OMG the fate of the world and every living creature hangs in the balance -- YAY! We won so everyone can go home peacefully!" As seen in the sequel, there are still plenty of loose ends to be tied up, and war doesn't just suddenly stop at the drop of ahat helmet. XD
The only thing that really bugged me was the use of all sorts of accents and apostrophes for the Aurenfaie names. If you must do that, at least provide a pronunciation key!
Oh, and also the TYPOS (in a published work, come on!) though that is the fault of the editors/proofreaders/publishers.
Final verdict: 8.5/10
