Notes In No Particular Order
Before I forget,
llamachan and
zoeycleybourne: I've finally gotten around to organizing my pictures from Kanazawa. I took a whole mess of pictures when I was walking around town on my own, so let me know if you're interested in those as well as the ones of our snowball fight, and I can burn them to disc for you. XD
Not sure what's up with me these days, but I just don't feel the urge to post! D: To try to remedy this, some notes on what I've been up to, and pictures!
Saturday was White Day, a.k.a. Divorce Day! :D K treated me to a Divorce Lunch, including an enormous Divorce Sundae. Not quite as huge as the one we split with E the week before, but pretty damn big all the same. And because that clearly was not enough sugar for one day, I bought myself a half bottle of good wine and a scrumptious Divorce Pastry on the way home.

To the untrained eye, this may look like a regular mont blanc, but it is a mont blanc d'argent with actual silver flakes on it. They also had a mont blanc d'or, but as I stood at the counter weighing the pros and cons of both, I came to the conclusion that a) I generally always prefer silver to gold, and b) I'd already consumed gold several times in the form of Goldschläger, which I'd totally forgotten existed until that moment, so shouldn't I try something new?
It was decadently delicious, like eating a sweet cloud.
Because if there's one thing the internet needs, it's more silly pictures of cats.

I've tired of this game, human. Remove yourself from my presence.
Tomorrow is my preschool's graduation ceremony. I'm losing four of my kids, though two of them will be back for afternoon lessons. Three kids are graduating up to my class, though, so we'll be back to 11 kids once the new school year starts in April.
A couple of weeks ago was Round 2 of the Tenipuri Stitch 'n' Bitch. First we had Thai food (oh god the buffet was amazing!), then we came back to my place and a whole lot of stitching, drawing, nihongoing, laughing and eating of (tenipuri) chocolate went on.

Faster than the speed of light (or my camera's shutter, whatever), Jill beat us all to the choco. And Becca is blurry because her racing-flag socks make her super fast!

It was also Round 2 of the Epic Battle For The Space Heater, Jill vs. Tabitha. The cat won.
Speaking of stitching 'n' bitching, I made it to the Tokyo Stitch 'n' Bitch last night for the first time since... last spring, probably. I normally can't go because of my second job, but I'd booked time off for something that ended up being cancelled, so I figured it would be a waste to sit around at home when I could be out and about. I got to listen to K and another girl talk about Lost while not actually revealing anything: "You know when that thing happened? And she said that thing to the other guy? I totally wasn't expecting that!" XD
K is a huge fan of Lost, you see, and she insisted I borrow her DVDs, because she said she needed to get me hooked on something in return for me teaching her to knit and sew. I'm not sure about it being a fair trade, but I'm six episodes in so far and I'm quite intrigued. It's certainly a good thing to have such a long series to watch while I work on my Insane Curtain Project - which is progressing quite nicely, and is what I took along with me last night -- so I imagine I'll get through the whole thing rather fast.
And on that note, I think I'll turn on Atobe-chan and get my stitchery on.

And Japan needs Goldschläger. Midori is awesome and I'll miss it when I go back to Canada so I guess it's a fair trade but the Goldschläger...

Can't you get Midori in Canada? I'm pretty sure I've seen it there, maybe at a Japanese restaurant...?

I think you can get it at import shops but it's still a bit hard to find in my area. :(

I have a reservation booked at Sakura Hostel for the nights of the 27th and 28th. Unless you want to hang out in your neck of the woods that evening and it's easier not to battle with last trains. I'm cool either way. I still need to confirm my reservation anyway so I can change it if needed.
Congrats!

Re: Congrats!
When I'm back in Canadaland this summer, we'll have to celebrate properly. Unless you guys are planning to get over here before then? :D *hintpokehint*

Yeah, the Divorce Sundae was great, and it's not over yet. Going out to celebrate tomorrow with some other friends! ^__^ And of course we'll have to celebrate AGAIN when I see you this summer! Speaking of which, you need to send me the dress so I can see if it's at all possible for me to wiggle into it.
Miss you too, love you lots! *omomomomom*

P.S.: I love Lost. Yes. It has good times.
Re: yay!
En effet, Lost c'est pas mal. Je suis seulement rendue à ep.7, mais mon amie a toutes les saisons sur DVD, alors je tarderai pas à tout regarder!
