Sorry if you've mentioned the story behind yourself and your ex-husband before. I tend to be forgetful. I'm glad whatever he gave you is now gone. I tend to keep things from unpleasant people just in case something happens in the future, and I need them for my defense. However, I put them where they're hard to access so I won't see them.
Sorry about your cats. It's hard losing pets.
