I may have said this before, but I love my new camera. Whole-heartedly, passionately love it. <3

A couple of weeks ago, I looked up one morning on the way to work, and spring had come!

On the 30th of January, I met up with Jill and Andrea in Shinagawa for some karaoke. Everything seemed normal until I went to the washroom (for the second time) and noticed the warning on the door.

After singing our little hearts out, I met up with some fellow food-lovers near Omotesandou and hit up a restaurant that specialises in eel.

The food critics eaters of eel:

We all had the seven course set menu, which featured pretty much every edible part of the eel. First up, eel bone crackers! These were crunchy and salty and delicious.

(Horrible framing job on this one, but Eda's expression was just too funny. ^_^)

Next we were served two skewers (courses 2 and 3). One was eel liver, which had a surprisingly strong taste, nearly as strong as beef liver; the other was eel skin wrapped around sliced scallions. I preferred the skin.

Course #4 was eel wrapped in a fluffy egg blanket, accompanied by a pickled ginger shoot, and a decorative leaf which Emily did not eat. Good stuff!

This lil' guy came with wasabi, and was very, very yummy.

The sixth course was a few bites of eel with impressively sliced cucumbers in a very mild vinegar sauce.

Last but not least, tender, buttery grilled eel. God, it was good.

Warning: Eating eel may cause silliness. And plaid legs.

We are awesome, and we pay with exact change.

While the eel was certainly very tasty, we weren't quite full, so we headed off in search of dessert in Harajuku. And what do you eat in Harajuku?

I saw him and couldn't remember for the life of me who he was either. I was all "... who the hell does Fuji play??? ... ..." I was about to look it up when he started flailing and I realized it was Jiroh.

The only thing that made me a little sad about him was that he came across as not actually being able to play tennis at all. But his flailing was adorable. And his face when he started to fanboy, was just omg!melt.

But Gakuto and Oshitari made me sad... they were both sort of ugly, and Gakuto was a skinhead... ...

Haha, yeah, he was kind of fail.

And I agree about Oshitari and Gakuto! But as a whole, Hyoutei (apart from Atobe -- I mean, Ji Bu) wasn't really developed much. Compared to the second season, in which Rikkai is established early on as being totally badass. And much better-looking! XD

Yeah. Other than Ji Bu, Hyotei is sadly lacking... But its not really that surprising, considering that they have the final tournament in 2 episodes. And they didn't really address Hyotei as much before just as Xiao Long had to beat Ji Bu before he could leave. But other than that... There really wasn't anything for them. (And they were all, with Ji Bu's exception, rather not good looking.)

I'm glad to learn that they are treating Rikkai better. :P :D *laughs* Of course, now I'm going to finish the first season and this means that I'm going to have to download the second season to start watching. XD
