ATTENTION ALL CAME-TO-MY-PLACE-FOR-EASTER PEEPS (yes, peeps XD)

I was asked to provide a zipped file of all the pictures from Easter, for those too lazy to manually save each one. So I made a .rar of ALL my pictures, plus some stolen from [livejournal.com profile] lizstarsky's post, and [livejournal.com profile] dilettantka's awesome Tabitha macros. There are all the shots I posted, of course, and plenty more silly ones, including a whole series of the "Tabitha reaching for YES!!" variety. The file is 541.94MB. Let me know if you want a download link!

Today has been absolutely glorious. I didn't set my alarm last night, and even when I woke up this morning (probably around 7:30 or so), I refrained from looking at the time, because I didn't need to get up! ^o^ I ended up sleeping until nearly 10, which I don't think has happened in ages. I think Tabitha was a little worried, to tell the truth.

It always seems to happen this way: on the days I let myself relax and tell myself I don't need to do anything, I wind up accomplishing more than I probably would otherwise. Today, this includes:

- 3 loads of laundry;
- chatting with my parents over Skype, which included laughing at my father because he and my brother have started studying German in view of our impending trip, and the book he has was published in 1938. "So, does it include useful phrases like, 'Shall we invade Poland tomorrow?' ";
- cleaning up the last dregs of Easter in the kitchen. I even scrubbed the backsplash and UNDERNEATH my gas range. No huge mutant roaches attacked me, to my great relief;
- making muck au thon* and eating it;
- giving Tabitha her first brushing of the season, with exciting results!

Photobucket

- posting to Travelpod (still waiting for pictures to upload...).

That's pretty respectable for a lazy day, wouldn't you say? And I still have the whole evening ahead of me!

* Muck au thon, as my parents jokingly called it, was something we often had when I was little because it's hard to find a cheaper meal to make than canned tuna mixed with mashed potatoes, and also it made me happy because I could drown it in ketchup. I don't remember how old I was when I separated the sounds in my head and realised that it literally meant "tuna muck". XD

I wish you could have come!

So, I was just thinking... once you move up to Tokyo, where will I find a Tabitha-sitter, since you'll need no place to stay?!

Speaking of which, have your Golden Week plans taken shape yet? Just let me know which days you plan on being here, and I'll find someone else to take care of the kitty the days you won't be here. =^_^=

I will be up soon enough so that people can wonder, "oh dear GOD WHYYYY did she move?" XD And I will still look after Miss Tabitha if I live close enough! Can never have enough kittehscratchin time. :3

My plans as they stand right now are to arrive in the late morning/early afternoon of the 29th and leaving on the 9th. That's a reminder for me to take off of work, though!

And she just eats up the attention, so you'll hear no complaints from her! =^_^=

Duly noted. Let me know if anything changes. :)

Have PMed you the link. ^_^ It's big because my camera takes big pictures! :D Also, there are lots of them.

That would be great, considering I'm going to Austria and Germany in a few weeks, and the only German I know is, "Sprechen Sie Englisch?", "Ein, zwei, drei" and "Danke". XD *fails at being 1/4 Austrian*

I know, you can teach me to cook Vietnamese food in German! 8D

I actually won't be in Germany all that much, since of the 11 days I'll be in Europe, 4 will be in Austria and 3 or 4 will be in the Czech Republic. My family will be staying a few days longer in/around Berlin, though.

I know, right?! Actually, my father was saying something about, "Can you buy fruit and nuts at the butcher shop?" so I joked about his book being from the 1920s. He replied, "... Actually, it's from 1938. XDDDD"

I've come accross those books...
But really some language books are WTH
The German stuff they taught to the students in England?

"My cat is ill, what should I do?"

yeah really useful when you want to go on a school exchange to Germany...

BUT WHAT IF YOUR CAT IS ILL??? You'd feel pretty stupid if you didn't know how to ask for help! Poor kitty... :(

well if you take your cat on your exchange trip to germany?
^^;
but really it's one of the first things they taught them...
I was wondering whether the teacher was a member of PETA or something...

I feel bound to mention that, on days when my parents wanted to make something quick and easy for dinner, we had something my dad called "Tuna Noodle Junk," which developed into "TNJ." It was rotini pasta mixed with tuna and cream of mushroom soup, and sometimes broccoli or peas. :P

Oh yes, I know that dish well. Cream of mushroom/chicken/celery over noodles was a fairly common occurrence, though it never got an official name. XD
