Apr. 17th, 2010 11:21 amUrg, I feel like I need to make a major picture update to cover what I've done over the past week.
In bullet points, here you go:
- Sunday, I met up with Alexis for hanami and we wandered around Inokashira Park looking for "this readhaired dude from the university". And eventually we found him, along with a redhaired girl that I had plans to bake pies with that evening! <3 (That would be Jamie, in case you think I might know many redhaired girls in Tokyo.) So there was hanami-ing, I got drunk, there was yaki-imo involved, and a few days later I was surprised to find several pictures and videos, which I didn't remember taking, on my camera.
- We did indeed bake some blackberry pies, and they were amazing.
- Monday... I don't think I did anything of note Monday, because I worked late, so I guess I just came right home?
- Tuesday, I did not totally fail at ballet!
- Wednesday was dinner at Arabian Rock. We had lots of fun, the food was good, and afterwards Jamie shared her coupons for TGIFriday's and we ordered one of each of the four desserts on the menu. For the record, five women can totally top four of those monster desserts. :D
- Thursday, I came home directly from work (a rare occurrence!) to receive a package from Laura. Mmmm, Easter chocolates! <3
- Friday, I left work early to see Air Gear myu and omg, am I ever glad I inconvenienced my boss to do so -- though seriously, having a show at 6 p.m. on a weeknight is NOT COOL! -- because it was absolutely fantastically fabulously hilarious. ONIIIIII-CHAN!!! The sexy police! Afro Ken! "Ookiku naritai!" Super Extra Deluxe Romeo Kick! KenKen on wheels*! In short, it was "MAAAABERASSU! EKKKKSERENTO! SASEBO BAAAAAGAAAA!" *lols forever*
- After the show, I met up with Kimberly and her friend and we went to Icebar Tokyo. Since last night was the coldest evening ever in Tokyo, the place was pretty much deserted apart from us. The owner was really nice and gave us free drinks. <3 I took lots of pictures. After that, we came back to Kichijouji and went to karaoke.
I thought I had something else to write about, but... that's it for now. Now to decide whether or not to get my hair cut this afternoon. Perhaps calling the salon to see if they have an opening would be a good start?
* Nothing will beat his awesome jeans of tightness in Oasis, but he never fails to charm me. <3

Date: 2010-04-17 02:49 am (UTC)Talking with 'the red haired dude from the University', we totally got into a discussion about whether or not one should put mayonnaise on the yaki-emo. I'm thinking I definitely should... MMMmmmmm...

This Ice Bar sounds very intriguing. Did you make a reservation beforehand? Is that place open in the summertime?!
Your week sounds pretty awesome and fun-filled. Yaaay!
